Who ever said getting up at 4am to drive more than an hour to see the sun come up over a mile deep ditch somewhere in arizona was worth it …. Well …. They were right ! And after a 605am sunrise, a quick snack and some wildlife encounter, off onto bright angel trail ……

Bad map data led us to the end of the road … Literally … a propper road turned into dirt .. and we turned around. Only 30 miles detour. Good thing we had only a short drive today. First glimps on Grand Canyon. Back on the Motherroad. BBQ Ribs and other delicious things for dinner.…

Lake Powell, Antelope Canyon and then hanging at the lake; actually hanging on a boat on the lake; poor young padawans; at least they were allowed to drive the (250PS) boat; the cars are still -and will be- off limits.

Grand County EMS visit .. nice! Canyonlands National Park – Needles District … nice! 2342 miles so far … ueber-nice! Last day in Moab .. not so nice. Beer in Utah only 3.2% … definitely NOT nice!
